The Wisconsin Electrical Trades Council is an organization of and for electrical contractors, electricians, inspectors and suppliers. Our goal is to provide a forum for those who are involved in the electrical trade to share ideas, learn about new developments in the industry and continue our education so we can provide the very best in our chosen profession.

2024/25 School Year Scholarship Opportunities!

Click on the Scholarships tab on the left for more information about financial aid opportunties to help with college or vocational school expenses through the WETC! Applications available now and are due by April 15th!

There are four $750 General Education Scholarships available for members only and one $1,500 EMELS (Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, or Lineman's School) Scholarship available for members and non-members!

WETC 16-hour Electrical Exam Prep Class

Due to scheduling and instructor availability we will not be scheduling any Electrical Exam Prep Classes until Early Fall of 2024. Please check back for more information soon!


WETC 69th Annual Conference

& Winter Training Event

Plans are already in the works for our 69th Annual Conference to be held in February of 2025.  Be sure to keep an eye on this spot for additional information in December of 2024.

Introduction to Solar P/V Code Requirements 

This 8-hour class was developed to introduce solar P/V code requirements to all levels of electricians.  If you have considered offering solar P/V installation and service as part of your business or contracting offering this is the class for you! The class will be held in a location that will provide a close up look at an actual solar installation and presented by certified solar P/V technicians. 

(Class will provide 8 CEU credits for maintenance of a WI Electrician's Credential.)  

This class is currently being reviewed & revised for WI DSPS and CEU credit approval.   

   We are hoping to have the class ready to go soon.
